Loner Deluxe "The Coast is Clear" E.P. Reviews
======================================
"An atmospheric, often haunting mix of folk guitar, indie-rock, electronica, vocals, and samples from film, TV, and other sources characterise The Coast is Clear, the new three-track 'Digital Cassingle' from underground Galway musician Loner Deluxe...A diverse, intriguing, collection, with an unashamedly left-field approach to the creation of music...Opening track 'Land And Sea' mixes Aphex Twin influenced electronic beats with gently picked acoustic guitar, creating a melancholy mood, with vocals by the multi-talented Swedish artist and songwriter Cecilia Danell giving the piece extra weight...Loner Deluxe (aka Keith Wallace ) has never been shy to proclaim his love of Krautrock." - Galway Advertiser

"It is a return certainly pleasing to the publications of the small but acute Irish label Rusted Rail, caratterizzatasi for an approach to folk unconventional and low fidelity. After nearly two years of hiatus, is the same person responsible for labeling Keith Wallace to break its silence with an EP than ten minutes of his project Loner Deluxe, whose intent is to replicate, even if only in digital format, the logic of now becoming underground productions on tape.

The three agile tracks from "The Coast Is Clear", available for free download via Bandcamp, are enough to disrupt a large extent the established aesthetic of Loner Deluxe, hitherto guided by home electronic minimalism. The realization of the tracks with a series of different collaborators for each of them a matter their substantial heterogeneity, as well as introduce a significant innovation in the expressive palette of Wallace, that for the first time in the initial "Land And Sea" sees the presence of ' voice element.

The Cecilia Danell velvety timbre gives content to the dreamy song, covered by synthetic and rhythmic lines uttered, and the remaining two instrumental, crossed by impromptu field recordings, fold back on analog pulse liquid (the short "EVP") and vivid dynamics between guitars and percussion who know the desert texture American indie rock 90s.

Loner Deluxe thus shows that he was faithful to the aesthetics lo-fi base, of which "The Coast Is Clear" greatly amplifies the already kaleidoscopic range of expression. Welcome back!"
